Burlingame Seasonal Housing
The affordable housing project was a joint envture between the City of Aspen and the Aspen Music Festival, providing 192 beds in two bedroom apartments to be used by Aspen Music Festival students in the summer, and make up part of the Aspen Housing Office's affordable housing pool in the remaining months. The site plan is based on a "campus" arrangement, consisting of four distinct building clusters opening into a larger open space and a commons building. In order to reduce construction costs and to meet the completion deadline, the units were pre-fabricated off-site and delivered on flatbed trucks as foundations were completed.
